Cathy-Ann M. Alexander
Cathy-Ann M. Alexander is an accomplished author, educator, and leader with over two decades of experience in education and military service. She holds a B.A. in Earth Science from Kean University, an M.S. in Education from Cambridge College, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Concordia University. Her extensive career includes more than 20 years as a K12 educator with the NYC Department of Education and four years as an adjunct professor in Higher Education. A dedicated servicemember, Cathy-Ann has served for 27 years in the United States Army Reserve, where she currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. She is also a veteran of the Afghanistan War. In 2019, she launched a memorial run/walk event, “They Sacrificed for Us, Honoring the Fallen,” to honor the service members who lost their lives while she was deployed boots-on-ground in Afghanistan. Cathy-Ann is grateful to serve as a Board Member with America’s Gold Star Families to continue to honor the fallen, and to provide hope and healing to their families. She is the founder of Wise and Witty Words for Life’s Journey, a company that uses motivational quotes and personal stories to inspire and guide others. Cathy-Ann is actively involved in her community, serving on the Board of Directors for Groton Hill Music Center and the Bromfield School Council, and is a lifelong member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She lives in Devens, Massachusetts with her daughter Rebecca
