Frances has been a Gold Star Advisory Board Council member for America’s Gold Star Families (AGSF) since 2016, and the project chair for the Fallen Heroes Tree of Honor Project. In the fall of 2022, Frances began serving as an AGSF Board Member representing the Gold Star Advisory Council.
Matt, his wife and two boys reside in Normal, IL and he has an associate degree from Illinois Central College and a bachelor’s degree in communications from Illinois State University.
Mary joined the AGSF board in 2025. Mary was born and have lived in Bloomington, Illinois most of my life, except for some time spent with my husband at Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, Illinois and Ellsworth Air Force Base in Rapid City, South Dakota while he was in the US Air Force.
Cathy-Ann M. Alexander is an accomplished author, educator, and leader with over two decades of experience in education and military service. She holds a B.A. in Earth Science from Kean University, an M.S. in Education from Cambridge College, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Concordia University
Carl served 21 years in the United States Air Force retiring in 2019 as a lieutenant colonel.
I have served as a board member and Vice President of Gold Star Families for many years.
Kimberly has been a part of the Board of America's Gold Star Families since 2023.
David is the North American Sales Manager of Micronics Clamp on Flow Meters for Control Plus, Inc out of Elmhurst Il. He has over 10 years of Sales Management experience. He also owns Casper Brewing Company in Bloomington IL and honors the Gold Star Families of Bloomington with a dedicated wall of their lost family members.
Cathy serves as a Human Resource Generalist at Illinois CancerCare and brings more than 40 years of experience in human resources and training. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of Illinois and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Bradley University. Cathy has also completed all coursework toward a doctorate in Adult Education (Workforce Development) at Northern Illinois University and is working toward the completion of her dissertation.
