Cathy Worlow
Cathy and her husband, Andy, reside in Morton, Illinois. They are proud parents to their daughter, Leah, who lives in Santa Clarita, California, with her husband and their four children.
Cathy serves as a Human Resource Generalist at Illinois CancerCare and brings more than 40 years of experience in human resources and training. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of Illinois and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Bradley University. Cathy has also completed all coursework toward a doctorate in Adult Education (Workforce Development) at Northern Illinois University and is working toward the completion of her dissertation.
Cathy comes from a long lineage of military service. Her husband, Andy, is a Vietnam War veteran, her father served in World War II, her grandfather in World War I, and her great-grandfather was a Civil War veteran. Her nephew currently serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army and is stationed at the Pentagon. With this deep family history, Cathy holds a profound respect for military service and greatly values the meaningful support the Gold Star Family program provides.
Throughout her career, Cathy has been active in community leadership. She has served on the Central Illinois Workforce Board and the Illinois Central College Educational Foundation Board. She is a member of Peoria Rotary North and remains involved in Illinois Job’s Daughters International, a Masonic youth organization dedicated to leadership development for young women.
Service, mentorship, and community have always been at the heart of Cathy’s life. She is honored and deeply looking forward to serving Gold Star families. Drawing on her rich military family heritage, leadership experience, and sincere desire to help others thrive, Cathy is committed to the mission to honor and support Illinois Gold Star Families.
